A nationally renowned player, Stacey
DeCastro, is the current national record holder for the most goals scored in a game, season, and career. He also holds the
record for most assists in a season and career. In addition to being a record holder and college All-American, Stacey is an
experienced coach, having coached youth, high school, and college squads. Stacey formerly coached at Husson College and Bowdoin
College in Maine. He has coached St. Andrews high school in Barrington, RI and at Joseph Case high school in Swansea, MA.
Under his coaching at Joseph Case, the team won the South Coast League and attended state semi-finals. For the past seven
years, Stacey has been the head soccer coach at Providence Country Day in East Providence, RI. The PCD Knights won the New
England Championship title in 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2004 and were New England finalists in 2001.
Stacey is a USSF "A" licensed coach and has recently received his international coaching
diploma. Over his coaching career he has successfully coached various youth teams both indoor and outdoor. For many years
he has been actively involved in the State Olympic Development Program for the boys in Rhode Island, where he coached and
held the position of Director of Coaches. He is currently coaching the Bayside U-14 team and formerly coached the Bayside
Stompers and Strikers to youth national rankings. While coaching for Bayside his teams have won ten Rhode Island State Championships.
Stacey has also served on the regional staff as a player evaluator and he continues to have contact with many of the college
and regional coaches working together to introduce many young talented soccer players.
